Love thinking about and improving Digital Products? Do you want to solve usability challenges and build interfaces that will impact lives of users all over the world?

The Design System Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the design process is efficient, consistent, and user-centered, helping the organization to deliver high-quality products and services to its customers.

  • Developing and maintaining a design system: The Design System Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining a design system that contains reusable components and guidelines that ensure consistency and efficiency in the design process;

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: The specialist should work closely with designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design system meets their needs and that they understand how to use it;

  • Creating documentation: The specialist should create clear and concise documentation that explains the design system's guidelines, components, and best practices;

  • Implementing the design system: The specialist should work with developers to implement the design system components in their code, ensuring that they adhere to the established guidelines;

  • Maintaining the design system: The specialist should keep the design system up-to-date, making changes and improvements as necessary based on user feedback, changes in technology, and evolving design trends.

  • Training and supporting team members: The specialist should provide training and support to team members on how to use the design system effectively;

  • Ensuring accessibility: The specialist should ensure that the design system components are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities;

  • Managing design system assets: The specialist should manage the design system's digital assets, ensuring that they are organized and easy to find for all team members.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

  • Design skills: The design system specialist should have a strong background in design, including knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, and user experience design;

  • Collaboration skills: The specialist must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers;

  • Communication skills: The specialist should be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure that all team members understand the design system guidelines and components;

  • Analytical skills: The specialist should be able to analyze data and user feedback to make informed decisions about the design system and its components;

  • Project management skills: The specialist should be able to manage timelines and resources effectively to ensure that the design system is completed on time and within budget;

  • Attention to detail: The specialist should have a keen eye for detail and be able to ensure that all components of the design system adhere to the established guidelines;

  • Adaptability: The specialist should be able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities, and be willing to iterate and improve the design system over time;

  • Coding skills: The specialist must have a good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which are the languages used to build design systems;

  • Conducting user research: it’s nice to have skill. The specialist may conduct user research to understand how users interact with the design system and identify areas for improvement.

  • Language: Portuguese + English + Spanish (nice to have)
