What You’ll Do As Lead Product Designer:
Report directly to co-founders, and work between Product and Design with engineers
Own product design from start to finish, wear a product hat to understand and design workflows, user requirements and user stories
Work directly with Product and Build the best-in-class web app SaaS product design from 0 to 1
Lead user research and testing with co-founders and apply insights to guide design decisions (incl. understanding technical accounting terminology and workflows)
Set the design culture towards UI excellence and best practices, product velocity and pipeline from day 1
Build a comprehensive, organized design system with scalable and reusable components
Create wireframes and high fidelity mockups using component system you developed and user workflows, ensuring high usability and on-brand visuals
Design and develop demo-prototypes for customer and sales conversations
Help recruit, interview and hire the early design team
Lead and mentor junior design team members
Ensure design is integrated into all aspects of the business and culture and aligns with our values
What You Bring:
8 + years of experience: proven track record as a Product Designer or UI/UX Designer developing products from start to finish and developing design systems from 0 > 1
Extreme comfort and mastery of Figma
An extreme eye for detail with a passion for creating beautiful and appealing interactive user flows
Technical frontend engineering understanding: knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and CSS libraries (e.g. Tailwind), state management (e.g. Redux) and more
UX Thinking: strong ability to think holistically about user experiences and design systems, coupled with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Willingness to work hard and ship product with engineers at high velocity, especially on Fridays
Demonstrated experience with at least 5 complex web app SaaS projects in your portfolio
How You Operate:
Pragmatic: you like to move forward and make decisions based in reality (not theory)
