As a Product Design Summer Intern, you’ll not only have the opportunity to be mentored by a small team of Product Designers but you will also be involved in developing Unbabel’s Design System. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams as part of a Product Trio, you'll contribute to shaping the Design System strategy, vision, and principles. Your role will involve continuous discovery and designing, while assuring continuous communication with the engineering team.
This internship provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing team, working in a B2B environment with a focus on deep tech. You'll have the chance to learn and grow alongside experienced professionals while making a meaningful impact on our products.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product and engineering managers to tackle complex problems and provide clarity in ambiguous situations.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative discovery, leveraging insights to guide decision-making processes.
Work closely with product managers to champion hypothesis-driven development practices.
Advocate for design excellence by adopting a principled approach, focusing on evidence-based methodologies and meticulous execution.
Create an environment that encourages design excellence and measurable product impact.
Embrace feedback loops to enhance individual, team, and company performance.
Collaborate with designers and front-end developers to bring our design system to life, contributing to its continuous improvement.
Requirements
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design or Communication Design.
Demonstrated interest or internship experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design or Communication Design.
Demonstrated a sharp visual culture, attention to detail and passion for creating engaging user experiences.
Familiarity with usability heuristics, design principles, and design tools (Figma).
Ability to deliver wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts.
Proactive attitude, comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Passion for language, artificial intelligence, and behavioral psychology is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including UX writing.
Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher).
